For the 2017 riding season, we will not schedule HATVA rides in April in an effort to allow the trails to dry as much as possible.

Confirm your attendance for HATVA rides by email. Make sure you fuel up in advance and bring food and water with you. The time shown is the time we LEAVE. Rides (unless otherwise stated) require HATVA/KATVA/POWERPASS membership or trail passes. Buy your pass or membership online BEFORE you arrive at the event.

APRIL: In compliance with the local MNR office’s request and in order to minimize damage to our trails during the wet season HATVA will not schedule rides in April

MAY: HALIBURTON RAIL TRAIL:
Opens May 1st, unless severe weather conditions require a later opening.

Saturday, May 6, PRESIDENT’S RIDE:
ANSON MOUNTAIN - Meet at the South Wind Motel at 10am. Ride to Anson Mountain and back. Some road running required. BBQ meal served after the ride at South Wind Motel. Confirm attendance info@haliburtonatv.com Approx. 70 km.

Saturday, May 27, HALIBURTON TO GOODERHAM RIDE (Trail T3.7) Meet at Haliburton High School south parking lot at 10am. Confirm attendance info@haliburtonatv.com

Saturday, June 17, HATVA’s 7th ANNUAL MUD BOG & YOUTH TRAINING DAY:
Hosted in conjunction with the “Minden Truck Pull and Shine” at the Minden Fair Grounds. Parking off Parkside Street or Fleming Road. Bring your ATV, Jeep or Pickup Truck and try the bog or come out to watch the action. Confirm attendance info@haliburtonatv.com

Saturday, June 24, BAYSVILLE RIDE: Lunch will be in town at a restaurant, after lunch we will continue the ride back to the staging area. Hosted by the Lake of Bays Club. Confirm attendance eric@eichlerracing.com

Saturday, August 19, WILBERFORCE CURLING CLUB POKER RUN: Full details at the bottom of this page. Come, ride, be challenged, and enjoy the trails and beauty of Highlands East on this full day event in support of Youth and Community Curling Programs. Route covers all levels of riders - expert to beginner.

September 9,10, KEARNEY OVERNITE RIDE:This is a intermediate ride starting in Dorset , riding 100km to Kearney, staying in Kearney over night at the Edge water resort , and 100km on Sunday back to Dorset. Confirm attendance eric@eichlerracing.com

September. 30 & October 1, MADAWASKA FALL TOUR RIDE:

Saturday October 14, MUD, SWEAT & TEARS (Trail T101 – Shoe Lake & Black River): Meet at 10:00am at Raven Lake Landing (Hwy #35), across the road from Shoe Lake Road.

Saturday August 19 – The 5th Annual HATVA/Wilberforce Curling Club Poker Ride

COME AND ENJOY OVER 70 KM OF TRAIL RATED FOR ALL AGES AND EXPERIENCE LEVELS.

  • Space is Limited to ONLY 100 ATV’s
  • Cost = $65 per ATV, $20 for Additional Riders
  • HATVA Trail Passes waived for event
  • SIGN UP AND PAY BEFORE JULY 28TH TO BE ENTERED INTO A SPECIAL EARLY BIRD DRAW

“All proceeds will be used to help support Our Youth and Community Curling Programs”

Event Timing:

  • Doors Open at 8:30 am Breakfast @ 9:00am
  • All Day Ride Begins at 10:00 am
  • Dinner should start around 4:30pm with prizes to follow

Additional Details: Bring extra gas though gas station in Gooderham will be open (cash only)

  • Mapped out course for you to go on your own or be guided by HATVA Team
  • ATV wash station once again (donation to Fire Department)
  • Rad hose Station pending on final route

HATVA provides advance trail signage and volunteer trail guides for these rides which raise money for worthwhile causes in Haliburton County. To help promote these events HATVA waives their trail pass requirements for the day.

DECEMBER: The Haliburton Rail Trail is closed to ATVs from December 1st to May 1.
